Secret Files: Tunguska is a point and click adventure. If you are a fan of those titles then you should find a lot to enjoy here. If you aren’t a fan of that game style then this probably won’t be the title that converts you. The premise of this game deals with a massive unexplained explosion that took place in the Tunguska region in 1908.  The game is set in the present day and one hundred years later the events of that day in 1908 are still as much of a mystery now as it was then. You assume the role of Nina Kalenkov and your father has turned up missing. After some initial investigation you discover that he is tied up in some suspicious activities and that the events in Tunguska are related somehow. You enlist the help of some friends and begin on your quest to find out about what happened one hundred years ago and, more importantly, what happened to your father.
This is a title where a keen eye will definitely help your cause. You will need to investigate all of the environments and make sure you don’t miss anything. Something that might not seem out of place might be the key to a puzzle later on in the game. You will also want to keep in mind the possibilities of what something might become later on in the game. If you are able to pick up a rock then you will want to do it because later on you might need to combine it with another item to solve a puzzle. There is a nice magnifying glass button too which will help point out areas that you should investigate in any given location. This can really help you out if you have finished exploring a location but it seems like you are missing something. The controls for the game are pretty straight forward with the Wiimote being used as your pointer and the nunchuk being used to guide your character across the screen. You control the inventory with the “d-padâ€, the “A†button to talk to someone and things of that nature. There isn’t any WiiMotion Plus support here but this isn’t the type of game that would use it effectively anways.
