Battlecruiser Talestra – the flagship of Alliance Forces – was sent in a remote star system to guard science groups exploring an ancient, abandoned city. In the world of Test Drive Unlimited 2, the player is able to drive both on-road and off-road in free-roam mode, challenging any real life racers they encounter. The roads are modeled after satellite images of the island of Oʻahu. The terrain differs from rainforest and mountains to sandy beaches and Hawaiʻi's capital city, Honolulu. It is worth noting however, that other built-up areas on the island are not represented. It is possible to drive on small islands outside of the main island, and even drive underwater (using glitches or mods) The latter requires the use of a known exploit in the game. The PC version has supported steering wheel controllers since launch. Following the third free update, Test Drive Unlimited supports force feedback wheel controllers such as Microsoft's PC Wireless Racing Wheel.

Although advertising material for the game suggests it to be an exact depiction of the Hawaiian island, numerous government buildings (such as those on Pearl Harbor, Camp H. M. Smith, Hickam Air Force Base), commercial buildings (Ala Moana Center, the convention center, the entire commercial strip in Pearl City and the Pearlridge Center), and notable landmarks (statue of King Kamehameha I, USS Missouri, etc.) are not present in the game. Many roads and highways are also missing or placed far from their real-life counterparts. The ships docked in Pearl Harbor are also in very low detail and do not represent any active or retired USN vessel at all.

Paths to a Kingdom features gameplay similar to that of past 3D games of The Settlers series. The player may choose between playing a Campaign game, a Skirmish Game, a ranked game and a multiplayer game. The game gives the player an opportunity to choose between three unique paths of development for victory: Military, Science, and Trade. In the traditional Military development path, the player builds the kingdom's army in order to conquer and destroy enemies. Players can also conquer enemy territories without making an army, by using priests. In the Science development path, the player must focus on researching technological upgrades. Finally in the Trade development path, the player builds their economy and attempts to occupy the best trade routes on the map. Each path of development contains unique units and possibilities. In all development paths, the player wins by collecting Victory points throughout the course of the game.

The AI enemies have been greatly improved over those included in previous games, with more than twelve different AI profiles with unique behaviours. The game also includes an extensive new online multiplayer mode which allows players to both compete and co-operate with one another as well as gain tutelage in the form of a mentor request. Players can also generate and share content.

Although heavily marketed for its online gameplay, The Settlers 7 offers two major single-player modes. Whichever mode is chosen, the player generally begins with a simple village and expands it sector by sector to create a kingdom. During this process, the player must fine-tune their production chains and transport systems. The Campaign single-player mode also serves as the tutorial, gradually introducing new gameplay elements as the player progresses through the various stages of the story narrative.

The Sims 3: Late Night is the third expansion for the popular Sims 3 franchise. Despite it being released a scant four months after the last one, Late Night is no slouch in its content, and will further enhance the alternate life experience for series fans. Let us stress "fans" in that last sentence. Like every expansion pack that has ever been released for the franchise, Late Night will not turn a non-fan into a fan. At this point, it's probably safe to assume that Electronic Arts has no plans to make massive overhauls outside of sequels, so people who don't get the franchise or just find it boring will find nothing overly exciting here. However, for the hardcore Sims players who have experienced staying up entirely too late to just tweak that one last wall or play just one more Sim day, there is plenty to enjoy.Late Night provides new clothing, hairstyle, and decorative options, but of course those are in every expansion. The main draws of Late Night are, strangely, elements from several previous expansions from other versions of the franchise. For example, one of the biggest features is the celebrity system, last seen way back in The Sims 1: Superstar. While running around town and living life, your little people can become celebrities based on their careers or socializing, and they can be rated from one to five stars in their fame. Celebrities view themselves above the sludge that is the rest of the neighborhood, and are challenges to socialize with, as you have to "impress" them before you can do anything more than ask for an autograph.
